What is a RACI Chart?

A RACI Chart is a project management tool that helps teams clearly define roles and responsibilities for each task. The acronym RACI stands for:

R – Responsible: The person who does the task.
A – Accountable: The person who makes the final decision and owns the outcome.
C – Consulted: People who provide input before the work is completed.
I – Informed: People who need updates on progress or decisions.

How to Use This RACI Chart Template

Define Your Project
Start by entering your project title, phases, and activities in the template.
List Team Members & Roles
Fill in the names of key stakeholders, such as Executive Sponsor, Project Leadership, Developers, Consultants, or Sub-teams.
Assign R, A, C, I to Each Task
For every task or milestone, assign roles:
- Place R, A, C, or I under the appropriate team member column.
- Example: A developer may be R (Responsible) for coding, while a project manager is A (Accountable).
Track Progress
Use built-in columns such as Progress %, Total Days, Remaining %, and Completion % to monitor project status.
Update Regularly
